Featora Online Services Terms
MyTasks Pty Ltd (ABN 72 677 622 632), trading as Featora · Version 1.0 · Effective 9 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy online services from Featora — for example web development, design, data analysis or economic analysis — through an Online Engagement. Together with your Order they form the contract between you and us. They are written in plain English on purpose; if anything is unclear, ask us before you accept.
The English version of these terms is the binding version. The Chinese text is provided for convenience only.
1. The contract
1.1 Who we are
“Featora”, “we” and “us” mean MyTasks Pty Ltd (ABN 72 677 622 632), trading as Featora. “You” means the person or organisation that accepts an Order. If you accept on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it.
1.2 Your Order
Your Order is the proposal you accept in My Online Engagements: the option you choose, its stages and stage prices, any add-ons you tick, the timeline, the description of what is included, and any purchase order (PO) number. The Order and these terms together form the contract between you and us.
1.3 When the contract is formed
The contract is formed when you accept a proposal (after agreeing to these terms), or when Featora accepts your counter-offer. A proposal stays open for 30 days unless it states otherwise.
1.4 Which document prevails
If your Order and these terms conflict, the Order prevails for that point. Your own purchase order terms or standard purchasing conditions do not apply unless we agree to them in writing — a PO number is used for reference and invoicing only.
1.5 Featora is the seller
Online services under these terms are sold by Featora directly (Featora Direct). We — not a third party — are responsible to you for the services, including any part performed by a specialist we engage (clause 10).
2. What we will do
- We will perform the services described in your Order with due care and skill, and within the timeline stated in the Order or, if none is stated, within a reasonable time.
- Anything not described in the Order is outside its scope. We will tell you before doing out-of-scope work; it needs an agreed change under clause 7.
- Timelines are estimates. They run from when the relevant stage has been paid and you have given us what we need for it. We will tell you promptly if a timeline is at risk. Rush delivery commitments are covered in clause 4.3.
3. What we need from you
- Give us the information, materials, data, access and decisions we reasonably need, accurately and on time.
- Make sure you have the right to give us the materials you supply (for example logos, text, images and data), and that using them as you instruct is lawful and does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
- Review deliverables and respond within the review period (clause 6).
- Delays caused by waiting for you extend the timeline by the same amount. If a stage has been waiting on you for more than 30 days, we may ask you to confirm whether to continue; if you do not reply within a further 10 business days, we may treat that stage as delivered on the basis of the work done so far.
4. Options, add-ons and prices
4.1 Options
A proposal may offer several options (for example Basic, Standard and Premium). Each option shows what is included, the number of revision rounds, the timeline and the price of each stage. Only the option you accept forms part of the contract.
4.2 Add-ons
Add-ons are optional extras listed in the proposal at a fixed price that is the same whichever option you choose. Add-ons you tick become part of your Order. They are billed with the first stage that has not yet started and appear as separate lines on that stage’s tax invoice.
4.3 Rush delivery
If you buy a rush delivery add-on, we commit to the shortened timeline stated in the Order. If we miss it for reasons within our control, we refund the rush add-on fee in full. This does not apply to delays caused by waiting for you or by events beyond our control (clause 13).
4.4 Extra revision round
An extra revision round adds one more round of revisions (clause 6.3), which you can use on any stage of the engagement.
4.5 Source and editable files
If you buy this add-on, we deliver the working files (for example design files, code or model files) with the final stage, subject to any third-party licences (clause 9.4).
4.6 Currency and GST
Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST, unless the Order states that the supply is GST-free (for example, services exported to a buyer outside Australia).
5. Stages, payment and invoices
- Each engagement is delivered in stages (usually four), and each stage has its own price.
- You pay before each stage starts. When a stage is ready to begin we send you a payment request showing the amount, your PO number and a payment reference. Work on that stage starts once your payment has reached our account. You never pay for a stage before we open it.
- Pay by bank transfer to the account shown in the payment request inside Featora. Featora will never ask you to pay into a personal account, by gift card, or through a link sent in chat.
- A payment request is due within 7 days. If it is unpaid after 14 days we may pause the engagement; if it is unpaid after 30 days either of us may end the engagement under clause 8, and nothing is owed for stages that have not started.
- Pressing “I’ve paid” lets us know to check, but a stage starts only when we confirm the payment has arrived.
- We issue a tax invoice for each stage when it is delivered, quoting your PO number. All invoices are available in My Online Engagements.
6. Delivery, review and revisions
6.1 Delivery
At the end of each stage we deliver that stage’s deliverables through My Online Engagements, or by another method agreed in the Order.
6.2 Review period
You have 5 business days after delivery to review the stage and either confirm it or request revisions, describing what does not match the Order.
6.3 Revision rounds
Each option includes the number of revision rounds stated in the Order. If the Order does not state a number, one revision round per stage is included. A revision round is one consolidated set of change requests to delivered work, within the agreed scope.
6.4 Fixing defects is free
If a deliverable does not match the Order or was not done with due care and skill, we fix it free of charge, and this does not use up a revision round.
6.5 Deemed acceptance
If you do not respond within the review period, the stage is treated as accepted. Accepted stages remain covered by the consumer guarantees in clause 12.
6.6 More revisions
Revisions beyond those included can be bought as an “Extra revision round” add-on, or agreed as a change under clause 7.
7. Negotiating and changing the price or scope
7.1 Before you accept
Prices are negotiable. You can accept a proposal, make a counter-offer stage by stage on the option you prefer, or decline. Featora can accept your counter-offer or send a revised proposal. There is no limit on the number of rounds, and nothing is binding until one side accepts the other side’s latest proposal.
7.2 After you accept
Either of us can propose a change to the price or scope of stages that have not yet started: Featora by sending a price change proposal, and you by using “Request a price change” in My Online Engagements. The other side can accept, make a counter-offer or decline. A change takes effect only when it is accepted in My Online Engagements or agreed in writing.
7.3 If a change is declined
If a proposed change is declined, the previously agreed price and scope continue unchanged.
7.4 Stages already started
Stages that have already started or been delivered keep their agreed price, unless both of us agree otherwise in writing.
7.5 Record of negotiation
Every proposal, counter-offer and decision is recorded with its date and time and forms part of the record of the contract.
8. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel the engagement at any time by telling us in writing — through Featora messaging or by email to support@featora.com. Refunds depend on how far each stage has progressed:
| Stage status when you cancel | Refund |
| Delivered | No refund. The consumer guarantees in clause 12 still apply. |
| Paid, work not yet started | Full refund of that stage. |
| In progress | We keep a fair amount for the work reasonably done up to the cancellation date, measured against that stage’s deliverables, and refund the rest. We show you how we worked it out and deliver the work in progress you have paid for. |
| Not yet opened for payment | Nothing is payable. |
- Add-ons follow the same rules, depending on whether the related work has started.
- If we cancel for reasons not caused by you, we refund everything you have paid for work not yet delivered.
- We may end the engagement by written notice if you seriously breach these terms (for example, payment more than 30 days overdue, unlawful instructions, or abusive conduct) and, where the breach can be fixed, you do not fix it within 10 business days of our notice. The refund table above then applies.
- Refunds are paid by bank transfer within 10 business days to the account you nominate, and we issue an adjustment note for GST where required.
9. Intellectual property
- Your materials stay yours. You give us a licence to use them only to perform the services.
- Deliverables become yours. Ownership of the intellectual property in deliverables created specifically for you passes to you when the stage they belong to has been delivered and paid in full.
- Our background materials. Tools, code libraries, templates, methods and know-how that we had before, or develop independently of your project, remain ours. Where they are built into your deliverables, you receive a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use them as part of those deliverables.
- Third-party materials (for example open-source software, fonts, stock images, data sets and software platforms) are supplied under their own licences. We will tell you before using any that carry significant restrictions or extra cost.
- We obtain the consents needed from the people who create your deliverables so that you can use, adapt and publish them as reasonably expected, including consents relating to moral rights.
- We will not show your deliverables or name you publicly (for example in a portfolio) without your permission.
10. Who does the work
- We may use our own team or vetted independent specialists, in Australia or overseas, to perform part of the services. They are bound by confidentiality and intellectual property obligations at least as protective as these terms. We remain fully responsible to you for their work.
- Specialists do not contract with you and you do not pay them. Please keep communication about your engagement with Featora.
- We may use software tools, including artificial-intelligence tools, to help perform the services. A qualified person reviews every deliverable before it is delivered to you. We will not put your confidential information into AI tools that use it to train models available to others. If you do not want AI tools used on your project, tell us before you accept and we will record it in the Order.
11. Confidentiality and privacy
- Each of us keeps confidential the other’s non-public information received in connection with the engagement, and uses it only for the engagement. This does not apply to information that is already public, independently developed, or that must be disclosed by law.
- We handle personal information in line with our Privacy policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Where a specialist is overseas, personal information may be disclosed overseas to perform the services, and we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
- If your project involves personal information about other people (for example survey respondents or customer data), you confirm that you collected it lawfully and may share it with us for this purpose. We use it only to perform the services.
12. Consumer guarantees and liability
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including that they will be rendered with due care and skill, be fit for any purpose you made known to us, and be supplied within a reasonable time. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those guarantees.
- For services not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use, our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee is limited, to the extent the law allows, to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
- Subject to the guarantees above, our total liability arising from an engagement — in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise — is limited to the total amount you have paid under that Order. This limit does not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, or liability that cannot be limited by law.
- Subject to the guarantees above, neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or opportunity.
- Where the services include analysis, forecasts, models or economic or financial work, the results depend on the data and assumptions available and are not a guarantee of future outcomes. They are not legal or tax advice or advice about financial products unless the Order expressly says so, and you remain responsible for the decisions you make using them.
- We will deal with any claim by a third party that deliverables we created infringe their intellectual property (excluding your materials and anything used at your direction), and cover the losses that result. You will do the same for claims arising from materials you supplied to us.
13. Events beyond our control
Neither of us is responsible for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control (for example natural disasters, major infrastructure or internet outages, or government action). The affected side will tell the other promptly and timelines are extended accordingly. If the event continues for more than 30 days, either of us may cancel the stages that have not started, and clause 8 applies to refunds.
14. Resolving problems
- Tell us first, using our Complaints process. We acknowledge complaints within 2 business days and aim to respond in substance within 10 business days.
- If a dispute is not resolved within 20 business days, either of us may refer it to mediation (in Sydney or online, for example through the Resolution Institute), with the mediator’s costs shared equally, before starting court proceedings — except where urgent court relief is needed.
- Nothing in this clause stops you from contacting NSW Fair Trading or your state or territory consumer protection agency at any time.
15. General
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction.
- Notices. Notices may be given by email to the address on your Featora account or to support@featora.com, or by message in My Online Engagements.
- Versions. We may publish new versions of these terms. Each Order is governed by the version you agreed to when you accepted it. If you later accept a change proposal under a newer version, that version applies to the stages covered by that proposal. We record the version, date and time of each acceptance.
- Assignment. Neither of us may transfer the contract without the other’s consent, except that we may transfer it to a related company that takes over the Featora business, after telling you.
- Whole agreement. Your Order, these terms and the policies they refer to are the whole agreement about the engagement.
- Other. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right straight away does not waive it. We are independent contractors; nothing creates an employment, partnership or agency relationship.
